Hey love ones,

Just want to share with you guys an awesome testimony this morning! This morning a south African young man decided to step out to fulfill God's purpose by starting an extreme game ministry. It was really powerful to hear that because some of us probably haven't found our purpose. Sometimes we got so preoccupied with the things of this world, we totally forgot how to live a life of fulfilling God's purpose.  What is our purpose? You are purpose for God's kingdom.

The other day my cousin and I were on our way home from Rose's house, she told me she never thought how Christians react will be like a family thing. My cousin went to a Catholic high school and college, she got so paranoid by the school teachers and her classmates always talking about the judgment day and showing her pictures of hell. I told her what their saying is probably the truth but they missed one point that is bringing the kingdom. Remember how Jesus prayed in the Lord's prayer? He said "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Matthew 6:9-13"  What did Jesus said about this picture?? He said "your kingdom come!!!!!!"

To be honest with you, I don't really care if I am going to heaven or what? Because nobody knows what's gonna happen after death! I love the idea what Pastor Jeff always tells me the eternal life not only means the length of life but also the quality of life. That is, once you receive Jesus you will live a life when people probably perceive you as living a lifestyle of living in Heaven which is God's kingdom. Sometimes when we have conflicts with your colleagues, friends or family, you are encountering a financial woe or having anxiety about the exam. You could totally ask yourself why? Why would I go panic for all these stuff? I am purpose for a kingdom, where I am right now or what I am doing right now is just a temporary stop and a temporary tool that God has giving me as an opportunity to join His great commission.

I wanna share my spiritual dad's testimony. He used to be a politician back in the States and after he retired he got hired as a consultant in the United States government.  He got paid by $1000 per hour for consulting the politicians. As tempting as it sounds but Jeff decided to be obedient to God's mission and choose to come here to fulfill what God has been calling him to do. You know what Vincent said really touches my heart? He said he wasn't feel happy at all before because he knew he wasn't fulfilling his purpose. You know what will make you really happy? You will feel so happy to see people start to give their life to Jesus Christ in your work place, at starbucks, in schools and be convinced that hope and love do exist if they have faith in it. The true happiness based on that, I am telling you! The feeling of experiencing the person just talked to you and decided to follow Jesus and be baptized will really touch your heart! I don't know how to describe that, it just more than words to see a person laugh again from the bottom of her heart, you will understand everything you've done is just so worth it. Don't let Jesus Christ died in vain and don't let your second life live in vain!

Powerful Evangelism

Hi love ones, just want to share the recipe of  powerful evangelism to you. The recipe of powerful evangelism are: personal testimony, personal lifestyle and proclamation. The other day Pastor Jeff was sharing how Christianity seems like an attractive force to everyone of this world. It really dawned on me it is the fact  people of this world they are watching and longing to have what we have. Sometimes while people would make some comment such as "Christianity is not just a good people's club." Please read between the line!!! You are a Christian which means you have a mind of Christ and the goodness of the Lord. That's say some colleague offended you and the way you reacted was bitter and kept recording this person's wrong. What happen next? The bitterness of the tree grows so huge and you can never see God. Another case is, if you sinned against someone and then the seed of shame grows and grows to be so huge that you can't see God again. We all long for an intimate encounter with Jesus but if our personal lifestyle doesn't correspond of whom we believe in, how can we go around to persuade people our God is a good God.

Evangelism can occur anywhere you want if you want to. Please don't limit it just on a treasure hunt mission. If you are sitting in your office, your classroom or starbucks now, please look around you. Those people are your treasures. God is saying to you those people are my people, go ahead and show them the way I love you. I believe every single one of us are chosen to hold the key to people's heart and we are blessed to have a chance to see how God is moving and touching people's heart.

Walking with Jesus is not just an one day thing, it is a long-distance marathon for every single one of us which means day in and day out we are encountering the spiritual warfare. I love the idea of how pastor David shares about we need to lay our own old Adam and put on the second Adam everyday. How exactly could we do this?? Very simple! When you get up, you can think about what kind of sinful nature you want to get rid of and imagine yourself taking off that dirty shirt and give it all to God and then God is handing you a new and delicate royal evening gown for you to put on. You are representing a royalty, you are a chosen race and a holy nation, you are an ambassador for Christ because you represent the leader of the Kingdom. I love the idea of ambassador immunity. Ambassador immunity means if you are an ambassador of the receiving nation, the law the obligation of the receiving nation doesn't apply to you at all. You are immune by the standard of this world because you are representing the Kingdom. You oldself was dead while JC was crucified for you and you were dead with Him and resurrected with Him again. Your body is not for you to satisfy your own purpose anymore. You have Jesus in your heart, how you see people not as my friends, my colleague, starbucks clerks. You see them as the way Jesus sees them, you embrace them as Jesus embrace them, you love them as Jesus love them. Because those people are YOUR CHILDREN NOW!!!

When we walk with Jesus for a while, it's easy to think yourself higher than another and you didn't even realize you're doing that. I believe if Bible without application it's literally dead, cell group is not increasing in numbers is literally dead, Christians don't reflect the goodness of the Lord is literally dead. I know it sounds pretty intense but this is what I believe. The thing is, it's easy for me to fall in trap because when people start to look up to me I will be like " Hey, let's not the way how it goes! Come on! You should do it like this!" Last night it was a good reminder that God is watching every single step that I take!

Sometimes I get so paranoid when people start a cell group labeled as a Christian artist cell group,  Christian Scientist cell group, Christian cheerleader cell group or whatever. Then I will think that's an exclusive thing for the ppl who have the same background to join. I will be like " come on! That's survive, that's not revive ok? You guys are getting so exclusive, but like what about ppl from another vocation background want to know Jesus? Would you ask them to join their own vocation cell group" When I was taking shower, I feel like I should tell my friend "The True Definition of Cell Group!" So I wazapp her and told her what I've believed. Ok! Funny thing happened right after I sent out that wazapp! I got a message from a non-Christian while I was ticked off (here's the thing, don't process too much! it will go from nothing to something bad!). He asked me "Can you tell me what does it say in Romans Chapter 12?"  I was like " Living Sacrifice and Love!" and my friend was like "That's it?"  I was like "Yea!" Because I didn't even read the content except for the theme of the chapter. But afterward I feel like God was telling me to read through the chapter, a verse just hit my heart, it's pretty much like a slap in the face spiritually. "For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. --Romans 12:3"  I was like "Ok! God! I am sorry!"  Right after I finished reading the passage, my friend called and she kept apologizing. I feel so bad right now! So, to anyone who is reading this article, you know I am sending this message to you! I am so sorry for throwing my "humility" out of window!

After discipleship with my dad on my way home I have a lot of thoughts about the value system we abide by. Sometimes our value system have a close relationship with where we coming from. Here's the thing, I am coming from a culture that performance and money is the center of my life. As you all know, I was a IT major and I even got a mater in IT which I hate. You know why would I choose to major that because my parents and my brother convinced me that software engineer would be a job that provides great fortune. The thing is I felt like 6 years of study is miserable and empty because that's not something I wanted to do. What did this story tell you? If you're making a decision based on money, you may feel like you are working for money and you are being enslaved by it. Scriptures talks about "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.--Matthew 6:24" Don't get me wrong, I am not saying money is evil because I do believe God is the Lord of all creation and He is the one who provides fortunate. God creates all things by His word, but except for one thing which is "us"! He created us through than money so why would you idolize money and recognize money is your king?

I am not saying you can't earn big fortune without Jesus. You probably can but the thing is we do witness a lot of rich people they still live under the orphan spirits and try to prove themselves they are someone big, someone important by purchasing toys such as fancy cars or purses and they may have to maintain certain status in people's heart as well. Come on! Why bother? As children of God, sometimes we will have this stereotype that missionaries or pastors have to be poor because they need to give up all the things they have so as to preach the gospel. I am rebuking this stereotype right now in the name of Jesus! From my perspective I believe children of God would go through a phase of learning how to trust Him because if you lead an easy life with your great fortune your entire life you might be indulged by it. If you can't learn to be faithful without money, how are you going to be faithful with money? At the end of day, you are blessed by the resources so that you can be a true blessing to others. Do you know the owners of forever21, they are south Korean Christian and give away 90% of their income so as to give it back God. Sometimes when we are in church, we probably feel like we are "obligated' to give offering because we have to, because we probably will afraid if we don't give offerings people might think of us as one of those stingy people. To be honest with you, I've struggling with this kind of stuff and especially I am not working right now. So before I went to church last Sunday I was like "Hey Jesus! Just so you know, I can only give you $100 cuz I am pretty broke now!" But that day, God has been speaking to my heart to bless our brother who has been through a hard time now. God was like "Justine, I feed you pretty well and I bless you with everything you can have even though you are on a non-working phase! Would you do me a favor to reciprocate to my son who can't not enjoy what you enjoy right now! I need you to co-work with me to restore his faith back! " so I was like" Can't say no to our father!"

From what I've learned from Jesus is that sometimes money is not our source of security nor happiness. As a matter of fact, God is. So if you think that you are still trapped in this kind of situation I would like to pray for you and ask God to free you from that kind of bondage. Jesus doesn't really care about if you give Him $100 or one trillion, all He cares about is where your heart is? I heard an amazing testimony from my friend, she told me while her dad was called to go on a missionary journey his company was about to grow and expand but after her dad received his calling, he was simply being obedient what God has told him to do. Because what God took away from you right now He will totally reward you for your faithfulness.

Father God, I am asking you to free those who read through this message, I am asking you to free us from the culture of putting money as the center of our lives. Father God you are the provider of everything we could have, we could enjoy! We will stop looking at whatever in our lives are lacking, we will start to look at whatever we have in our lives are blessed by you! Day in and day out we just want to get closer to you, we want to seek first your kingdom because we have faith you will give us all that we need. You are a Father never back out your promises and we will be obedient to every mission and every job that you are calling us to do. We just wants to freely give what we receive freely. In Jesus name! Amen!!

When I was meditating this passage in the morning.  It really dawned on me how many times do we pray for our lives, future, finance, career, husband or boyfriend? We need to stop think about ourselves but think about others! Jesus didn't die so that we could have a easy life! We are called for a purpose! The purpose is bring Kingdom! Kingdom= faith,love, hope and freedom!! The leaders of nations need your prayer so bad! By that I mean the leaders of family, education, art, government, religion, business,media!! So let's proclaim life for Ma ying jeou now, like him or not Ma is the leader of this nation and he desperately need your blessing!

"1 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time. 7 And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle—I am telling the truth, I am not lying—and a true and faithful teacher of the Gentiles 1 Tim 2"

今天一早我在沉澱自己讀提摩太書的時候，我突然發覺到我們好像都會為我們的生活，未來，財務，工作，丈夫或者男朋友禱告耶? 我們必須停止一直專注在自己而開始把重心放在他人身上。耶穌為我們而死的目的不是我們可以享受一個簡單人生。我們被神揀選乃是為了我們唯一的目的而活。我們的目的就是把神的國度帶來這個世上。神的國度所構成的要素是=信心，愛，希望和自由。你知道這個世界上各領域的領導人有多需要你的禱告! 這個世界的領導人包含了家庭，教育，藝術，政府，宗教，商業和媒體。來!!!我們一起對馬英九宣告新的突破吧不管你今天喜不喜歡馬這個人他是這個國家的領導人他非常需要你的祝福!

1 我 勸 你 ， 第 一 要 為 萬 人 懇 求 、 禱 告 、 代 求 、 祝 謝 ；

提摩太前書 2:1-7

Today I want to share something about how easy it is to disciple people and encourage people! Discipleship is not about you are spiritually higher than anybody and then demand them to do something spiritually. As a matter of fact, I feel like discipleship is more about introducing this awesome friend Jesus Christ to someone and bless them what God has been blessing you. Everybody needs love therefore everybody needs Jesus, sometimes people don't know how bad they need love and freedom. God has been ordained us to be the sowers of the Lord and our job is to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.-- Matthew 28:19-20" Oh! Yes indeed!! Teach "them" what God has commanded us!

今天我想跟各位分享的是訓練門徒和鼓勵人們是有多容易的一件事情。 門徒訓練不是屬靈有多高深的人命令你要去做什麼屬靈的事。其實我對門徒的想法就是介紹你的好朋友耶穌和祝福你身邊的人讓他們也能夠跟你一樣經歷到那樣的自由和喜樂。對我來說，每一個人都需要愛，耶穌是愛，所以每一個人都需要耶穌。神揀選我們成為撒種者而我們的工作是 " 所 以 ， 你 們 要 去 ， 使 萬 民 作 我 的 門 徒 ， 奉 父 、 子 、 聖 靈 的 名 給 他 們 施 洗 （ 或 作 ： 給 他 們 施 洗 ， 歸 於 父 、 子 、 聖 靈 的 名 ） 。
凡 我 所 吩 咐 你 們 的 ， 都 教 訓 他 們 遵 守 ， 我 就 常 與 你 們 同 在 ， 直 到 世 界 的 末 了 。--馬太 28:19-20" 沒錯!教導他們神所給你們的。

I did mention about how Pastor Chang share the recipe to sustain the fire is by passing to someone otherwise the fire is going to die eventually! So my suggestion is, if you are willing you could establish a genuine friendship by being honest about our Faith and keep serving them. You may very well invite them to have Starbucks once or twice a week to check on them or listen to their hearts. Bless them and encourage them! Remember, it is not only pastor or missionary's job to make disciples but yours. At the end of day, we do have the same identity as child of God and we do have the same "Great Commission!" So if you do have spiritual parents now I would love to congrats you because you will be totally equipped and by the tools your spiritual parents sharing with you, you will learn how to use them to bring the kingdom of God. You strength and courage it's not coming from how many times you read through Bible(Don't get me wrong, Bible does play an essential part in our life because it is the filter of God's words!) it's about you have been with Jesus. Remember how Peter and John reacted in front of the rulers and the teachers of the law, their faith is not coming from what schools they were attending to or how were the approved by some famous people, it's about the fact that they actually been with Jesus!!! "When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. --Acts 4:13"

As for those who haven't found your spiritual parents I will love to urge you to pray about it and ask God to send someone to serve you. At the end of day, as we walk with Jesus, we will be having more than one spiritual parents. Don't be afraid to consult with more than one person because different spiritual parents could offer you different gifts. God makes everyone unique and special so as to perform a chamber of symphony for His love.
先前有跟大家分享過Pastor Chang跟我分享的秘方，因為我會擔心我火焰會滅掉。但他跟我說，你知道怎樣才不會熄火嗎?你要把你的火把傳給下一個人。我的想法是，門徒其實就是和其他人建立起最真誠的友誼坦承你的信心並服侍他們。你可以邀請他們去喝星巴克，要請他們至少一周或兩周跟你見一次面讓他們有機會讓你傾聽他們的心。祝福他們並鼓勵他們。其實，這些工作並不是僅只牧師或者傳道人的工作而是你的工作。因為我們都有同一個身分，我們皆是神的孩子而我們擁有同等的大使命。所以如果你現在有屬靈的父母，我真的很恭喜你因為你會被完全的裝備而你也將擁有你屬靈父母的工具。你也會學習如何去使用這些工具把神的國度帶到這世界上。你的力量和勇氣不是來自於你念了聖經幾次(千萬別誤會，聖經是很重要的!因為他扮演著神話語的咖啡濾紙。你會藉由你對聖經的理解去分辨那些話是從神而來) 你的信心來自於你真的和耶穌相處過!!記得在使徒行傳中彼得和約翰在律法的長者和教師前如何表現的，他們的信心絕對不是來自於今天他去那間名校上課或者他們被名人所認可。而是他們真的和耶穌相處。"他 們 見 彼 得 、 約 翰 的 膽 量 ， 又 看 出 他 們 原 是 沒 有 學 問 的 小 民 ， 就 希 奇 ， 認 明 他 們 是 跟 過 耶 穌 的 。"
我相信有些姐妹們你們還沒有屬靈父母，那我會建議你們禱告並請神送一個適合你的人來服侍你。因為當我們和耶穌同行時，我們會有多於一個屬靈父母。所以你不用擔心你諮詢多個屬靈父母會冒犯誰，因為每個人都不同的禮物，每一個屬靈父母可以給你的是不一樣的禮物。神造每一個人都很獨特因為他期待我們能夠利用我們不同的個性為他彈奏愛的交響樂

Oftentimes when we encourage people, they will be like "are you being real?" "are you saying those things because you are trying to make me feel better?" and then they will go "I feel more comfortable to being around someone who is more real!" Sometimes people are not used to be encouraged, because how the society reflects is more about putting people down so as to prove themselves higher than others or magnifying people's mistakes. When we encourage people, the whole atmosphere will be changed because our words have power. You will never know by a simple encourage word you can go around to end suicide or even war! That's say if you're working out in the gym, in stead of thinking they are being nice so as to sell training class to you, you could have a whole change a mentality by saying "You know what I have been looking forward for this entire day? Is to see your smile!" I am sure they will feel touched by what you said because they will no longer try to be nice to you because what the manager demand them to act that way, they being nice to you because they are rejoicing the glory of God with you as well.
有時候當我們鼓勵別人時，他們會說"你可以實際一點嗎?" "你說這些只是想讓我開心一點" "我和實際的人相處起來比較愉快" 有時候人們不習慣被鼓勵，這個社會總是喜歡貶低他人成就自我或者放大人的錯誤。但當我們鼓勵別人時，整個氛圍將會改變因為話語是有力量的。你的話語甚至可以挽救很多人的生命或阻止戰爭。我要舉一個我的例子，我常去健身房運動，櫃台的小姐每次都會對我笑或者很有禮貌。我相信那是經理逼他們這麼做。但是你的心態換一下，不要想著他們是為了向你推銷課程才對你好。你可以鼓勵他們"你知道嗎?我一天最期待就是來健身房因為你的笑容讓我心情很好" 因為下次他們在對你笑是真心的跟你一起分享神榮耀的喜樂

So today we got the chance to rehearse for the skit. The story is about queen Esther was ordained to be a queen and how God sent her to save her own people. To be honest, I was a lil bit grumpy today and I don' t feel like going to church especially I have a lot of studies going on and lots of emotional drama. Anyway, so I went to church basically out of being obedient to God. Sorry!! Ms. Pearson, I am being too honest now! Haha! During the whole rehearsing moment, there's one verse really speaks to my heart, "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this? --Esther 4:14"

Have you ever had this kind of "what if" mentality? What if my mom is Christian and then she will understand what I am doing. What if my granddad will be healed from his sickness? What if I could have a well paid job so that I could dedicate more to the people I love. What if I were as famous as Heidi Baker so that I could have the power to shake nations. Then it will go on and on and on because all you can think about is you are less than those people and you are being trapped by the situation instead of transforming the situation. You have to believe, God never makes mistakes. He makes you Asian, African, Asian American, American, Latino or Caribbean for a reason and you have being ordained to "royal position for such a time as this!!!!" Everything God places in your life is not by accident as a matter of fact He meant to plan that way. He is waiting for you to say "Yes Lord! I am ready! If I perish, I perish!" Because you are not live for yourself, your mom even your future husband! You live for Jesus! You may have to give up everything you once valued and follow Jesus. It doesn't mean you have to donate all your money and go on a missionary trip somewhere and being starved and eaten by the lion in the jungle. What I am trying to say is, you need to look beyond the things of this world. You may have the heart for Jesus but the thing is sometimes we will put ourselves before Jesus or people! Shi-Yi asked me "if God is your good friend, then have you ever thought are you a good friend of God?" Do you trust Him and treat Him like a good friend or just ask Him to give you all that you want?

So today I want to offer prayer for you, if you think you want to be free and really give your life, your money, your everything so as to sacrifice as your Issac, please "reply" the post and I will pray for you.

Gospel instead of Gossip

Do you know if you're complaining or saying something bad about someone, you're actually proclaiming death over a person? Before I had my discipleship with my mom Heather, I didn't know that. Of course we do know it is not a good thing to talk about someone behind that person's back, I bet the non-believer acknowledge that as well. Last night God is speaking to my heart by saying "You are a imitator of me, why would you keep doing something like this?"

Okay! Let me talk about my daily scenario of complaining, I may very well started a day by complaining the passengers on the MRT, my mom, the people in the gym, my boss, my colleague and my friends. Sometimes it may accidentally blurt out  by saying someone is such a pain in the butt and I don't want to deal with them anymore or by magnifying people's mistakes just to make sure I am qualified to be a victim and ask for people's mercy.  Oftentimes, the more we complain the more we get upset! Have you ever complained about your boss with your colleague, maybe your colleague is calling the shot and you feel like you're obligated to be along for the ride and then at the end of the conversation both of you guys feel nothing but empty and the resentment didn't go away as you thought. As a matter of fact, your boss still reacts like an arrogant prick just as the way you describe him. Have you ever thought your words have power? Maybe this is the reason why he still remains the same way because you keep proclaiming death over this man.

Just as Joyce Meyer said, some of us are experts to receive from the enemy then Jesus. That might probably true! Why? Because you are allowing it. You are allowing your emotion and your own victim mentality dictate over you instead of being guide by the Spirit, To be honest, as we give our life to Christ, every second of our life is a spiritual challenge. Of course, it is hard for us to put up with people's neurosis because we are not cold stone with no heart.  Scriptures said "And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. --2Timothy2:24-26"

To me, this is something I've been struggling with but I really want to be free from this. I am a firm believer of God's love can conquer all! It most certainly is. I can tell you it is not easy to be immune to this matter but if you are willing, God is doing!

And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. --2 Corinthians 5:15

 Have you ever prayed like this? "Father God, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come as it is in Heaven and I just want to give thanks to you because you are a glorious Father to me. Oh! Just for the record, please save my family and heal my grandparents and yank them out of misery, please help my dad and my brother quit smoking, please bless my family business and fix our finances...oh! FYI! Please have me pass my test! " And then after you routinely give thanks to the Lord, routinely praise Him and routinely ask the same thing you want, you just shut your door and start your day and then God is like "Wait!!!!!!!!! I've gotta say something! Yo........Jus..........tine..."  To be honest, this is how I pray. Yesterday I had discipleship with my dad Taguchi, he told me there's a big difference between one way prayer and interact with God. Sometimes we just put our focus on ask God for things and randomly give thanks or praise Him so as to exchange the gifts we want. In John 10:27 said "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me." Have you ever thought, there are something that God has meant to tell you but you never give Him a chance to say it. Because you are just focusing on telling what you want from Him instead of listening to Him.
你有這樣子禱告過嗎? "天父阿，願你的名高舉，你的國度來臨如同天上，我感謝你天父因為你是個得勝的父親。喔!還有拜託帶我全家信主，醫治我外公外婆帶他們脫離苦海，幫我爸我哥戒菸，祝福我家的生意，我家的財務狀況也交託給你!!還有，拜託讓我通過考試!"我們按慣例的感謝主，讚美主，跟他要東西。當你要完東西後你就把你的門關起來然後上帝就"等一下!!!! 我要跟你說話!!喂.......Jus....tine....."然後已經來不及了，因為我已經把我的耳朵關起來開始我的一天。坦白說這是我每天的禱告。昨天我和我的屬靈老爸田口駿上門徒訓練的時候，他跟我討論到這點。他說到單向的向神禱告要東西和與神雙向溝通是有很大的差別的。 約 翰 福 音 10:27 說"我 的 羊 聽 我 的 聲 音 ， 我 也 認 識 他 們 ， 他 們 也 跟 著 我 。"你有沒有想過其實神有很多話想要對你說但是你都沒給他一個機會向你說。因為你一直專注在跟他要你所求所想而非想聽神說話。

We are chosen by God, we were the lost coins that God would spend whatever it takes to find us because this is how special and precious we are in His eyes.  The reason why God choose us to be His sons and daughters because you have the potential and you've inherited His DNA. He wants you to be an imitator as Jesus Christ in your family, school and work. In Scriptures says about "Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. --Matthew 16:24" I believe there's a deeper meaning of taking up his cross, that means freedom. Be free from the things of this world. Ok! That's change the situation now, if you are Jesus Christ now, what would you do to your friends a.k.a "YOUR PEOPLE"? If someone offend you at work or at church,  would that matter? Of course it doesn't matter because whenever we do something bad we always come before God and ask Him for mercy and grace. The reason why you ask that because you know He is the one with those characters and He will forgive you anyway. The thing is, if you are child of God, anything of this world doesn't matter to you at all. The core value you need to carry is "live for Jesus and be an imitator of the Lord." That's it! Don't carry all those burden on your shoulder because whether your mom is Christian or the provision of your family is NOT your responsibility but God's. We just have to believe all things works together for His good." Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?-- Matthew 6:26" Don't you know you mean a world to our Father?
我們是被神揀選的，我們就是路加福音裡面說的那個失去的銅板。當他失去我們的時候他會不計一切代價找尋我們因為我們在他的眼中是如此的珍貴和特別。上帝揀選我們的原因乃是因為你的淺力和你所繼承從神所來的DNA。他希望我們能夠效法耶穌成為在你家庭裡，學校裡及工作上的代言人。 "馬太福音16:24 於 是 耶 穌 對 門 徒 說 ： 若 有 人 要 跟 從 我 ， 就 當 捨 己 ， 背 起 他 的 十 字 架 來 跟 從 我 。" 我相信這句話更深層的意義是自由，因為十字架代表著你的過犯及負擔已經交託給神你已經得自由。 好，那我們現在換的立場想，假設你今天是耶穌，你會怎樣對待你的朋友也就是"你的子民"。 如果今天他們在工作上或教會冒犯了你，你覺得重要嗎? 當然不重要! 因為你知道有人冒犯你或者你對他們有仇恨時你會來到神的面前請求恩典和憐憫。你向神求這些的原因是因為你相信上帝是擁有恩典和憐憫特質的父且不管怎樣他就是會原諒你啦! 重點來了，今天你是神的孩子，在這個世界上所發生的一切事情對你來說都一點也不重要。我們所要攜帶的核心價值是"活著像耶穌，在生命中效法神所做的" 就這麼簡單! 不要讓負擔宰制你，不管今天你媽會不會信主，家中的財務狀況如何這些都是神的事不是你的責任。我們需要做的是去相信神會將所有他應許你的必成就。"馬太福音 6:26說到 你 們 看 那 天 上 的 飛 鳥 ， 也 不 種 ， 也 不 收 ， 也 不 積 蓄 在 倉 裡 ， 你 們 的 天 父 尚 且 養 活 他 。 你 們 不 比 飛 鳥 貴 重 得 多 麼 ？"你難道不知道你在天父的眼中有多重要嗎?


Sometimes God will surprise people in a very creative and customized way! Here's the story, I have a friend who I've pushed so hard to persuade him to come to church and sell him Jesus. I feel like God was telling me to stop doing this because that is His case and FYI I am scaring people. Haha! He was my colleague at work and after I quit my job, we seldom contact or anything. Yesterday I got his wazapp, he was like "Justine! Jeremy Lin is much like you because he is all about God, God, God!"  and my colleague also told me his life was miserable still, I told Him "The voice of lies can't affected you unless you empowered them!" I think this is an answer and reminder of my prayer that God is doing things in my friend's life and all I have to do is put my trust in God and walk like JC. 有時候神會用一個非常具創意且客製化的方法來給你驚喜。我有一個故事想跟大家分享，我有個朋友我總是邀他來教會跟他訴說上帝有多棒多好，一直推銷耶穌給他。後來，神跟我說你必須停止，這傢伙是我的責任還有你有點嚇壞你朋友囉。哈! 他曾經是我同事，當我離職後我們鮮少連絡但昨天我收到他的wazapp我很驚訝也很開心。他說"Justine，林書豪跟你真像! 一天到晚在那God, God,God的!" 後來我有機會跟他聊聊，他說他的生活還是過得很痛苦。神開了一個機會讓我鼓勵他"我說謊言本身沒有能量的，除非你給予他能量他才能影響你"  我想這對我來說是一個禱告的應答和提醒。畢竟我的所求所想神都知道且神都在我朋友的生命做工只是我不知道而已。我需要做的就是信任神並且每天活得像耶穌一樣。

Jeremy Lin is preaching in Madison Square Garden! No words necessary!

Today I was chilling with my grandma and my brother, we were watching the talk show discussing how Linsanity influence NBA and the whole world. To be honest, I never like basketball and I feel all kinds of games such as NFL or MLB  is a lil bit dull. Maybe because I am such a girly girl. Anyway, but this dude really grab my attention. By watching his games and the integrity he's carrying, you can really tell he is walking just the way as Jesus.

Do you remember what God asked Cain? He asked Cain where is your brother? As a matter of fact, it was a good reminder to watch our brother's back to be his keeper.  What Jeremy has done is exactly correspond with what God has taught us. While he is in the court instead of trying to making it like his professional solo show, he choose to honor his brothers and he humble himself  whenever glory comes along. He gives his glory to God.  He always says if he can't play basketball, he would like to be a pastor. But the thing is, dude you're already doing it! Jeremy is such an undercover missionary in Christ so that's why while he's playing in the Madison Square Garden he is preaching the gospel through his action. God sees his faithfulness and favors his precious son. What I Admire Lin's most is his humility of not taking credits in terms of winning.

Therefore, if you're moved by him maybe you should know about his favorite Bible verses, Romans 5:3-5 "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us."  Remember, the desire of your heart must be done out of the glory for God. Because what the Scriptures says about the righteousness without God is just like the filthy rags which means if you want to fulfill your own desire, own fame, own accomplishment, you will be burnt out. At the end of day, we are called and adopted for a purpose, the purpose is to fulfill the great commissions on earth. The purpose is no matter  who you are, where you're from, what kind of job you have, you do it out of the glory.  All we need to do is prepare ourselves, prepare our heart, soul and spirit to be ready like a "Intercontinental Ballistic Missile". You need to prepare yourself on the "Ready" mode because you never know when God will push the bottom! When He says "Go!" He is not playing, He is dead serious to send you out!

Today I wanna share about leading a Christian lifestyle. Our friends might make some comments such as "How come you can be that superstitious?" "Justine, are you crazy?" "I respect your religion but can't you keep it real by separating your real life from your religion ?!" When we heard those comment, there are times we couldn't help but whine on the inside "You might want to rephrase that! This is supernatural not superstitious and FYI Jesus is NOT a religion! "

But at the meantime, we may be affected by people's opinions and start to question if God is real? If faith is just a make believe stuff so as to persuade us and comfort our insecure heart. To tell the truth, some of us a expert to receive lies from Satan instead of listening the truth from God. A lot of times,my sisters usually tell me "Justine, you are such a cheerleader, whenever I feel upset I can always come to you because I know you will give me some encouragement to pluck up my courage." I am so flattered and blessed that my friends will think of me when they need a shoulder to cry on. But you know why would I say those words to you? Not only do I want to comfort you but more importantly I am doing my best to remind you that what you have been missing is the truth from God.

At the end of day, it's your call to choose whatever you want to believe. If you choose the Babylonian system which is the standard of this world then neither God nor I can force you to believe in Him. Because He gives us free will to choose. If you feel like you want to know more about this almighty Jesus and wonder why we could be that happy around Him? You can ask Him by saying "God, I don't you that well but I really want to get to know you better!" My gorgeous friend Wei-Chen can guarantee you, He will show you the way. Haha! Her testimony just came across my mind!

What I am trying to say is don't be threatened by the lies of the enemy by condemning yourself with thoughts such as "God, I am unholy because I am still smoking!" "Christians are whole bunch of DIE VIRGINS and moral impeccable club. " Those thoughts are the biggest lies. I've been walking with JC for almost a year now, there are some good times and of course there are some bad times that I screwed everything up almost broke 10 commandments but you know what? God is always faithful, a single person can't restore a broken heart nor a broken spirit only God can! I am a living testimony, if He can restore me, he can restore you as well. Just as Casting Crowns sang "Lord, you catch me when I falling! Whom shall I fear?" He gives me a new life while I was literally dead like a soulless zombie. This is a miracle for me because I know the enemy was trying to shame me with the mistakes I've done in the past. In stead of trying to avoid the awkwardness, I step out and ask for forgiveness for those people who hurt me and those whom was hurt by me. Miraculously, those people and I are still remain friends. To me, that is totally a manifest of God's grace.

You know who know you best? Of course you are likely to respond "Abba Father!" But the thing is, I may have to tell you the enemy knows everything about you as well. I am not trying to scare you or anything, the devil is working so hard to shame you, especially shame you with something you've been passionate about, something you are good at, or someone you actually like.

Have you ever had a dream in your heart which is on an unfulfilled mode? Let's say you have a passion for fashion and then your family and your friends might tell you it's not realistic to work in a fashion industry because you are not coming from a professional designing background. If you want to be a master chef and someone may kill your dream by saying you are not graduated from a chef colleague. I  have a related experience too, when I talked to my former boss that I failed my diplomat exam by lacking of 3 points and guess what he told me? He said if he was the one doing the exam he will be the first place in terms of points. I am not parade about anything. Ok! Maybe I am, there were 600 people was involved with the exam and I was number 55 based on the points I got in the exam. Even though I didn't pass the test last time but it was a big encouragement for me because I am not coming from a diplomatic background. The point is, the voice of lies will not have power unless you empower them. Let's say, if you are not happy with current job that you've been doing and you took the job because someone else told you to. At the end of the day, you've been living in the misery, whining and blaming those who force you to make that decision. Is that the fact? Let me tell you, you have no one to blame because you are the one making choices not them.

In the book of Genesis, what did Adam do when he was found by eating the forbidden fruits? He blamed the woman. In that story you could discover all the human have one thing in common which is blaming others. If you blame others it doesn't wipe out the mistakes you've done! If you want to wipe out your mistakes and be free from those bondage, you may have to confront it, convict it and repent. By doing so, you won't allow any access for the voice of lies to come in and shut the door right at the moment you take this drastic measure. Then all you need to do is ask God show you more and more confirmation. Once you receive the confirmation, you better work your butt off as hard as possible by forming a discipline to your desire. I guarantee  you, God is the one place that gifts to your heart! Every gifts takes practice! Tommy Lee didn't get strike in the head from a thunder then he becomes a awesome drummer. Heidi Baker didn't just hear God's voice and sit at home to wait for people from the Mozambique to get healed. As a matter of fact, they both tried as hard as possible to the point they were about to give up and God intervene. If you don't try, how do you know if it is a good fit? At the end of day, why would God put this desire in your heart not in my heart? Think about it! Because the day He created us, he already ordained different works for us. That's  the Scripture says "we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. --Romans 8:28"

God is saying to you "what are you afraid of?" "why are you hiding?"  "I say I will give it to you and I will keep my promise!"

Is He My Future Husband?

Today I want to talk about our duty as single women. As a single girl, one thing we keep asking ourselves while we date someone is "Is he the one?" then you will likely to project a future with him and start to fantasize how many kids you want to have, some of us might have the kids name or even the schools name picked out! And then all you can think about is your boyfriend, you give out physical, emotionally, spiritually to this guy. He is the center of your universe. That's say, if things go out of your way and you guys split up what would happen? You might think you lose the center of your universe because your relationship became so co-dependent and boyfriend-oriented. You could backout any plans you made with your family or your friends just to be with that boyfriend. At the end of the day, that dude is not your husband or anything but you may very well regard him as your husband and the only thing that worth your living so that could pretty much explain why you would feel so devastated after breaking up with someone.


The other day in Luxy, Evangelina and I  were talking about the mindset of dating. She has this interesting theory of future husband. As a child of God you need to realize when we decide to follow Jesus then we will need to run as hard as possible toward Him, while you are on the running track just fix your eyes on JC don't pay attention to the things along this road of course include don't look back. While you're running so hard eventually you will discover someone is running as far as you are and then the two of you will be like "Let's get married then!"  As a matter of fact, if I didn't promote this theory, you guys all knew as princess of God should be doing is to seek first His kingdom and "All" these things will be given to you as well.--Matthew 6:33

In stead of trying to seek things by your own strength how about you let go and let God intervene. Your Big Daddy was like tilt His head with his armed crossed waiting for you to let go your hand so that He could give you the gorgeous one of a kind husband He created just for you.   As a single girl, your duty is different from the married ones because if you are married then you and your husband will be working as ONE BODY IN CHRIST. But as for us, our job is to bring kingdom across the nations all by ourselves, the lesson you should be learning right now is to put God as the center of universe so that while you're get married you will be not carried away by house chores, kids and your husband. That's why I always think of being single as an internship before marriage for God. Then again, while walking with Jesus as a single girl, we are not cold stone with no heart right? There comes a time that you might like someone, my advice is please pursue a friendship first before officially become boyfriend and girlfriend. Pray as hard as possible every single day at least an hour and ask God to protect your heart. While you are thinking about taking this friendship to the next level please don't make some comment such as "I ONLY WANT TO DATE SOMEONE WHO WILL BECOME MY FUTURE HUSBAND!" or "I THINK GOD WANTS YOU TO BE MY HUSBAND!" Don't use God's name to manipulate the relationship. If you are thinking about buying a car you would have taking it for a test drive so please don't put the deposit down without being sure of by using God's name. If things are going very well and you guys decide to get married please do make sure you guys do pray hard on the matter and going to pre-marriage counseling because sometime it might help to have a subjective opinion to see if it is a good fit. At the end of a date, marriage is a covenant with God so please do make sure you guys think it through and both ready to work as one in the future and don't jump into marriage because you guys want to work things out. You know what Jaeson Ma always says "screw up relationship will lead to screw up marriage. "

Today on my way home I ran into my elementary school/junior high classmate, her name is Joanna. She is a Taiwanese Filipino and has been suffering from epilepsy since childhood. From what I know she is an extremely devoted Catholic since she was a child and back in the days our classmates always picked on her and I wasn't really nice to her at all. But the way she reacted always I mean always with grace. She never said anything negative nor got herself in a victim mentality or anything. We start to connect with each other since last year owing to the fact that her dad has a restaurant in this neighborhood and we went there every now and then. Her dad was an amazing man in Christ as well. Anyways, Joanna just told me last December her parents got into a terrible car accident and her dad got killed and her mom's face was filled with glass and broke her arm. So I said " Can I pray for you?" and I start to tell her how the enemies wants to mess up with her because she has been doing great things and passionate for the Lord. She is teaching Sunday school and Bible class in a private high school now. There are three kids in her family but she is the only one serving God. Even though she is grieving but the way she reacts is very calm and peaceful. At that moment, Jaeson Ma's testimony just came across my mind so I told her about the story when Jaeson was a youth pastor and there was this one time that he ran into this Asian young man looked frustrated and suicidal in the park or something so Jaeson went up and asked him "can I pray for you?" At first there was no respond at all, so Jaeson went on his road and ask God to help that poor young man. "God, please help him! please...help him!" All of a sudden, God was like "Jaeson! Tell him he is a turtle in my hand, everything is going to be A-OK!" At first he thinks "Is that a devil?" But this voice keeps coming out so Jaeson was like" God, if I am a false prophet it's on you! I am just being obedient!" So he went on telling the boy "Um…God said you’re a turtle in God’s hand and everything is going to be O…K….” Then the boy went on”How did you know? How did you know? I just got into a car accident and my friend got killed and his name is turtle, I am so mad at God and I want to kill myself but I know he is in God’s hand now. Thank you so much.”
As a matter of fact, after I talked to her and shared this testimony with her it really dawned on me that I always spend time going out and being sociable to my friends but leave my family behind. If you someday I lose my dad I don’t want to live with regret for the rest of my days. So I urged you to do what Pastor Jeff was saying this morning "Go hug your family member!!"

Secondly, if someday I perish in this world, I don’t want to leave this world in vain, I want to do everything out of God’s will and I just want to experience this world being transformed to His kingdom because the day we give our life to Christ we already died to the sinful nature of this world therefore we have nothing to lose and nothing to prove. We no longer live for ourselves anymore so we need to make the best of the limited time to live for our purpose on earth.

The enemy was trying to mess up with my family with those voice of lies! That was just so stupid and laughable. Today Pastor Jeff was sharing about the meaning of前天&後天。 We are coming from a culture that always facing our past yet turning our back on our future. This is why Asian people are very good at refine things then invent things; recording wrongs instead of forgiving people.

Let's say in the past you failed on something and your friends or your family may discouraged you by saying something negative to you. But thing is, the voice of lies will not have power unless you empower them. What happened in the past we need to use that as a reference of our library instead of a prison to shame us. So next time if you really want to do something that you failed in the past just think of Sun Yet San, he was a faithful man in God and tried 12 times for revolution. If he stopped trying on his 11 time, what would it be now? Remember our identity is children of God and we are ordained to be winners come what may.

2012/02/06 You Are a Role Model

These days GBS has been reading Kris Valloton's book called "Super Natural Ways of Royalty." In the first chapter of the book Kris shared this story about how a careless joke hurt his secretary. Sometimes when we try to be funny or tease people little do you know that you are hurting people. Have you ever thought your words might mean something to the people around you? Or you just thought the world is just being picky and harsh against Christians. If you're already being adopted by the king, you better watch your mouth because you are represent the royalty. As a matter of fact, In Scriptures you could discover how many times did Jesus remind us we need to be an imitator to Christ? It's not just to be a person who does not sin, not drink, not cuss or not have sex before marriage but a true representative of JC. When people sees you, they will not think of you but think of Jesus. I guarantee you, the true beautiful of a person is not coming from the outside, that's an inside out thing. You don't need plastic surgery to make your face glowing, all you need to do is transform your mentality.

Yesterday, I got challenged by Pastor Jeff in church service. He said to the congregation  that if you feel like you need to mend relationship with your family then step out and go hug them and don't think it will be better without you doing anything. I was translating the sermon and by the time I said this thing out loud in Chinese I realized this is a great reminder from God. Because the words is coming out from my mouth and if I am not being obedient to those words I will really be a hypocrite who keep talking not walking. So I went home last night, and God kept pushing me and TRUST ME you would never want  to talk to your mom while she was at the peak of her anger. I went on hug her and just be quiet to listen to her yelling at me. I kept weeping and weeping on her shoulder. Of course, those things against me isn't coming from her but the enemy. TRUST ME! LOVE CAN CONQUER ALL!! This morning my mom has a total change of the attitude and keep asking and talking to me. I really appreciate what my mom was doing.  It might seem nothing to you, but for me I feel like that was a reminder of God's grace. If I kept doing what I was doing by going to fellowship all the time and locking my door and zone them out from my room then they might never get the chance to experience my love. At the end of a day, Christianity is not self-help religion, it's not you go to church for two hours and go to Bible study for two hours and then the rest of your week you're still conforming the standard of this world. God picked us to be a transformer of this society, if you can't transform yourself and your family, let alone across the countries. Then other people may never get the chance to experience this almighty and merciful God because you keep that to yourself in your room. How funny was an article that describe religion is like a penis, you can appreciate it in your room to see how great it is but you can't go around with it in public. Because you think it is in appropriate to bring it along. If you think Christianity is  about go to church two hours a week then you don't apply to it in your daily life or feel a shame of  being honest about your faith then you might serve a religion in stead of being a world changer right now. Then that's why you can't see signs and wonders or God's work, because you get so egg-headed about conforming rules and being selfish. All you care about is you are the one being saved and leave other people burn in hell. Do you want to become one of those Pharisees? Heck no! Remember, people of this world are watching what we are doing, you are a role model of this world. If you want to change the stereotype of what the world sees us as Christians that might need your work.

You better train your legs well!!!
Hi the WoW family, I feel like God has been speaking to us to accelerate our workout program because you never know how far you will go for Jesus. Maybe He will be calling you to the mountain of Tibet or Desert in Sahara. Just be prepared like a bride waiting for your groom man. Remember, we train our body for the Lord not for us. We honor our body because that's the place the Holy Spirit resides in. So if you have a 15min hiking devotion why don't you make it 30min, if you have a 20 push-up devotion why don't you make it 30. If you fail to reach your resolution everyday then slap yourself in the forehead and keep it up tomorrow.

Remember what He said in the great commission "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19" When He said go, he meant go! He is not playing!! So get ready girls!!!

All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips. "Isn't this Joseph's son?" they asked --Luke 4:22

I want to share something about what Bill Johnson preached during kingdom culture. As you read through Luke 4:22, you might notice those people in the synagogue did believe and recognize He is the Messiah and Son of God but afterward those people still think of Jesus as son of Joseph. Ok! Here's the thing, in the story you may very well discover people usually like to perceive things which is controllable. Have you ever thought of something that was totally blown you away and then all of a sudden that rational part of your brain start to tell you that you need to keep it real? Then you just surrender to whatever your brain tell you to do and give up everything you once believed.

You know what? This is purely human nature, people like to do things and think things in a controllable way. But at the end of day, you can always do things in an easy way and you are certain of your outcome then why bother to have faith because you are just being programmed. At the end of day, your reward is totally perceivable. Follow Jesus is not something programmed nor easy because we are being created to be His warrior who lives on the edge. Believe me, it's so worth it to take this roller-coaster ride with Him.

2012/02/03 All That I Want Is Your Faith

Faith is basically the foundation of everything in terms of walking with Jesus. During four days intensive sermons in the kingdom culture conference, what I learned about those preachers is they have one thing in common grounded faith. As you read through Scriptures, you may very discover how many times did Jesus mention about "Faith"! "You little faith!"  "Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you." "Receive your sight; your faith has healed you."....Heidi Baker is a well-known missioner and a mother of orphans in Mozambique. She received her calling at the age of 16 and in 1980 after she got married with her husband Rolland, they decide to move to Mozambique. At first it was nothing and then what came next is that during her journey in Mozambique her husband and daughter was suffered from malaria and her son was suffer from spiritual battle and she got diagnosed with cancer. Worst come worst, the biggest sponsor of her ministry decide to withdraw and stop donating anything. But you know what?After a series train wrecks her faith is so firm in the Lord. She had been praying for blind eyes receive vision for a year in Mozambique then God keep His promise by giving her this gift. Sometimes, it's not we don't have faith in God but our faith doesn't last and being easily taken away by the voice of lie. Think about it, what kind of seed are you? The seed with the good soil or the one easily being chock? 

Last night, I was involved in the healing conference prayer team and I got the chance to pray for this grandma who has been suffering from deafening for a while.  She told me she doesn't know what happened to her the next day she got up then she can't hear anything. So we asked her if we could lay hand her and she said yes. She was such a firm believer in Christ, she has been asked us to pray for her like 5 times. Even though she didn't get heal eventually but she told me God is going to heal me for sure and I'm waiting on God and I have devoted most of my time to Him because I just want to be healed by Holy Spirit. I was thinking on the inside "Grandma, I don't have to pray for you as a matter of fact I need you to pray for me!"  She has such strong faith in the Lord and she keeps laughing and dancing during worship despite the fact that she can't even hear the voice. Remember what God has promised us in Mark 16:17-18"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues"

Remember, every gifts takes practice if you are not healing anybody or haven't seen signs and wonders just keeps asking the Lord. He already promised anyone who believes in Him. Randy Clark said the every single Christian has the ability to perform signs and wonders but the one thing that distinct your anointing is the frequency. Keep praying, keep laying hands on people, keep doing what you are called to do "Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. " Don't let the lies bug you out because all that God wants is your faith!!

2012/01/30 Nothing to Lose and Nothing to Prove

I heard our brother Andrew from our church passed away last Wednesday. He got killed in a car accident while he went on bike riding trip in Pintung. This is extremely shocking for some of us especially he is a close friend to the Ximen ministry and on top of that he's still young.  It really dawned on me, we never know when will God need us to get back to heaven and fulfill our mission on earth. Yesterday  Pastor Jon was preaching about what the Scriptures depicted how Paul died with a great satisfaction since he has done everything and been obedient according to God's will. Follow Jesus is beyond a life and death matter, I meant way beyond!! Jesus was being very clear several times in the Bible by saying "And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:27" What do you mean by that JC? Well, God is not looking for someone who is extra talented or extremely eloquent, he is looking for someone is willing. Willing to give his life to God and being along for His ride! By the time we stand before Him and look back to what we've done in the past, we will not just die with regret nor in vain.

For some of us, we've been blessed by great fortune, friends, family and abundant of resources. We could never imagine the life of people in Burkina faso or Haiti still suffering with clean water and food.  Church and Christianity are NOT just about the fancy building and fancy people with great outfit to be self helped, it's about meeting other people needs. "But the one who did not know it, and committed deeds worthy of a flogging, will receive but few. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more. Luke 12:48" To tell the truth, I am still struggling with how to love people. Back then, I had a 8 years long-term relationship with my ex and I thought love is just something among two people. This relationship is so codependent and not healthy because I was this girl full with jealousy, hatred, anger and I could only think of my boyfriend is my possession and I became just as one of those dogs don't share with chew toys. Afterward I became believer, I gradually understand what enemy is trying to destroy is that genuine love. Love is patient, love is kind, love is not envy, love is not boast, love is not self-seeking, love is not easily angered, love is not proud, love is putting others before yourself. So like literally I am such an alien to love because I have no clue of what love is and I've got so caught up by selfishness. I am not saying I am coping anything better or becoming an impeccable person or anything. But what I am trying to say is, gradually God is setting me free from this bondage; as a matter of fact, that wasn't easy and of course there's definitely bumpy on my road to come follow Jesus. The thing is, it's worth it! It's all worth it because as a child of God, the things of this world don't apply to us anymore. You have nothing to lose and nothing to prove. Your life is not about you soooo not about you.

It's been a while for me to write something on the blog. These days I've got so caught up by lots of stuff going on in my life. I feel like there are times we read through Bible verses but didn't actually take in those verses. Do we really have faith in the Lord? Are we one of those seeds which are being eaten by birds or withered without roots? You may very well discovered Jesus didn't just mention this parable one time. As a matter of fact, He keeps reminding us how God loves us and value us with His grace. In Matthew 7:11 He says " If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!"  Oftentimes we just got so distracted by the things of this world, have you ever felt so good about yourself and being confident about your job, your desire or your performance and all of a sudden, people's comment will totally destroy what you've believed in? Have you ever thought about why? We will go on and on trying to figure out why? But have you ever thought about why would you feel upset about this? It's because you are letting those words to affect you; you are the one letting those words taking over the voice of truth. I was born and raised of a Babylonian system that screams money is your first priority in terms of your career objective. The other day while I was talking to my mom and sharing my desire of being an ambassador in Christ just to go across countries and make disciples of all nations. She simply reacted by saying how do you know you are going to pass the national exam and be a diplomat? I told her because God has been speaking to my hearts this is what I've been called for. Last week Pastor Jon was preaching how imagination can do big thing that you could never imagine. Sometimes people are just being defeated before you take a step of faith to realize it. Doubts is that poisonous arrow to kill our dream. If you have a dream and you can't make it then why would God give you a dream that you can never achieve it?  If God is calling you to be an photographer then why are you sitting at the office of the software engineer? If God is calling you to be a preacher on stage then why are you hiding in the shadow of someone else back?  If God is calling you to be a fashion designer then why do you feel like you're trapping in a sales manager's body? If you feel like you don't belong to those places why don't you take a leap of faith and step out to your comfy zone and actually realize what God has calling you to do. He sees you as His one of a kind creation, your imagination and your creativity are not the same as someone else's.  I am not saying you have to jump to a snap decision of whatever comes across your mind. My point is if you feel like your desire is not what you're doing now, the first thing you need to do is ask.  Ask God why? Why would you have this kind of desire? God is the one created you and He knows you best. John 10:27 says" My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me." We are children of God, Jesus is our Shepherd, He knows everything about us and He is the creator of every single one of us. He will most certainly fulfill your imagination and sharpen you as the one and only child He created you to be.

2012/01/18 When You Believe

This song sound familiar huh? While I was reading Mark chapter 9 it talks about "Believe."  As a matter of fact, in Greek "Believe" and "Faith" is the same word "pistis." Scripture defines faith is "being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrew 11:1"  Here's the thing, there are time we just can't convinced ourselves to totally and wholeheartedly trust everything will be fine in God's hand. Whenever we pray,  we will still  have doubts and uncertainty of what we hope for. If you look through Mark chapter 9, you would have known how Jesus was being irritated by the unbelieving generation. Haha! I could tell his expression would be like =..= ...sigh....... and then He said " unbelieving generation, how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you?"

Sometimes, people just can't choose to believe in God nor believe in love. Not that they don't want to but they just need to overcome something.  In this generation, is " God is Love" this idea becomes too obsolete for people to believe?  If you want to know why would some believers could be filled up with joy every second of their life and you would love to experience that kind of joy,  you may ask God to soften your heart just as He did to the evil possessed kid's dad. That guy was very honest with God and he said " I do believe; help me overcome my disbelief!  Mark 9:24"  While we come before God, we don't have to pretend or try to convince ourselves anything, all you have to do is being honest with Him and ask His strength to overcome whatever you need to conquer. If you read through Matthew and Mark you could see even though back in the days people were experiencing wonders and miracles performed by Jesus, they still let fear and doubts dictated them. Why?  Because it's not about what we see that counts yet it's about what are hearts. Once your heart is soften and conquer disbelief, you will be set free and  you would very well realize "with  God all things are possible!" He never backs out His promises.

2012/01/17 Let's Show Galiah Who's the Boss!!!!

This Sunday Pastor Jon from my church was preaching about the Faith in our own ability. Some times we are just being blindfolded by the hesitation and the doubts and overlook what God has created us as gifted yet versatile creature. We put more focus on worries and our deficiency in stead of appreciating what God has given us. Every single one of us is so different from the other,  every single one of us inherit special ability from above, we need to find it just as the miner exploring the untapped resource, if you really know how to appreciate what God has created to be, you will be amazed. As we walk along the life road, of course we will encounter obstacles and challenges but you have to remember whatever we encounter, the hand of our Father is always in charge of every situation. God has prepared out past and makes it bare fruits of the future. It's perfectly ok to fall but you need to remember the most important part is about rising every time we fall.

2012/01/16 Prayer Relay Game

Dear all,

We want to do a special treat and be more intimate with our Abba Father during the entire Chinese New Year.
We are going to pull off a Prayer Relay Game from today til 1/31 and then we will see how does it go? If it turns out awesome, we are likely to have this kind of Relay Game for the rest of the months in 2012. Prayers are very important in terms of being a child of God, that's the time of interceding and listening what God has to say. Some people might misunderstand the true meaning of praying and think praying is passive; as a matter of fact, prayers are active and it's a motion of actually waiting on God. Everyone in this game, before you actually prayer, you can proclaim "Father God, your son/daughters is listening, I can hear the voice of God." As for the topic we prayer for, I have some thought,

You guys could be creative in terms of praying!!   You guys can pray for whatever that come across your mind.
The thing is, we need to make sure the stick doesn't fall during the relay game so I just arrange a schedule for some of us, later on if we have more member we could add more people in the game! It's always good to have more prayer warrior.

2012/01/13 Replace My Heart with Yours!

The other day I got into a big fight with one of my best friends and it really dawned on me how judgmental I was. Here's the thing, we were about to host a reunion with some friends and she randomly asked me who's going to the event and then I was a lil bit irritated so I told her "why do you care? You are so tensed about this, Come on! Chill, relax! Just show up!" Because I was irritated by the fact that I am the one who is responsible for pulling off the reunion and I feel like I was the one doing the work and all you folks need to do is show up and why do you have all these opinions kind of mentality and I just assumed she probably asked because she wants to avoid someone which is never true. Anyway, afterward she called me and we had a quarrel over this topic. But during the entire conversation, God kept telling me "Have you ever thought about what would Jesus say or do with it? He will never react the way you react, He can loves me that much, how come you can be that selfish and think about yourself before others?"  Therefore, I kept it quiet during the whole conversation because I knew what I did and I need to bare the consequences especially trying to find an excuse can't do any good on that matter. So, I just simply said I was sorry about the whole thing and Wazapp her again. I know my friend would never hate me, but what if today I was the one being misunderstood?  The Scriptures says" Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.  Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Philippians 2:3-5 " Obviously, at that moment I didn't honor God nor my friend. If putting others before yourself it's hard for me to do then I should at least "Treat others the same way you want them to treat you. Luke 6:31" which I didn't do it neither.  So today while I was doing my devotion, I had a thought I asked God to replace my heart with His and I was like God could you please tell me how to love? You said Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Apparently, I need to learn the genuine love and its value. I can feel some part of me still hold on to this world and I hate myself for doing or relying on that,  I start to thank Him for making me the way He makes me, bless me with all that He can give. The things of this world I am about to give up can't compare with living a life with Him. I was like "God, I want to be honest with you, it makes me sad to say goodbye to my old self and my old memories with this world but I know it's time for me to move on! Because it is worth it to follow you; it is worth it to give my life for you; it is worth it to be like you! "

2011/01/11 We Are in This World, Not of This World.

By the time we choose to follow Jesus, the standard of this world does not apply to us any longer. Scriptures says "Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. Luke 9:23" Sometimes we still tied ourselves up to the Babylonian system of this world. The other day I was listening to Pastor Jaeson Ma's sermon,  he said something about if you're a believer in God, you have nothing to prove and nothing to lose. It  really dawned on me that I am so obsessed with people's approval. For example, I enjoy being welcomed and loved by people and how people sees me as a person not a child of God. So the other day while I was taking shower, God really speaks to me " Why do you care?" "Why do you want to parade all the things you've done for your cell group or your volunteer works so that you can win compliments from other people?" and then I got Matthew 6:6 popping in my head. Why do I have to parade about those things? If I just do those things out of people's approval so that I  can brag about myself then that's coming from my own pride.  Because it's not about us anymore, it's about Him! It's so not about you! God didn't choose you to be a Christian artist, Christian movie star,  Pastor  and Missioner but a child of God. My point is don't let those labels stop you from being who you are as a child of God. It's not about what we do that forge us to become who we are; it's about who we are as a child of God so we do everything out of love! It's not about we as Christians sit together in schools or workplace and feel comfortable just being around with Christians. That is staying in your comfy zone  to look for survive, we need to go out, mobilize and break bread with those who need us. We might seem eccentric but unique in a good way at the same time. Think about why would your colleague, your friends or your classmates like to share about their private life with you?  Not that because you are good Christian and you have great moral standard but that you are different, you will make comment not of this world. You are creative and let them think of Jesus. If you look through the Matthew you will realize how much Jesus love to chill with nonbelievers, he enjoys wedding party, associate with the nonbelievers. Even some pharisees were holding a judgmental prejudice but see how Jesus reacted? He didn't even care how people sees Him because He is not of this world so do you.

2012/01/09 Forgiveness or Partial Lobotomy?

Let's see if you could whisk away all the bad memories of how people mistreat you by undergoing to a brain surgery, would you choose to go through the surgery or to forgive someone. In my opinion, unforgiveness is just like a big entrance to greet Satan and the rest of its evil army. Have you ever spent your entire free to reminiscing something that is totally against other people, such as "Oh! The other day my boss just put me down in front of lot of my colleague and I don't deserve those kind of treatment!" "I think Susanna just doesn't like me!" "Who the heck he think he is?" Yea yea, those scenarios you name it! In some cases, it's not that person against you or anything, it's just the way he or she treats people and you've been all over your head and think the worst possible situation to put yourself in a crappy position. Ok, in some cases, those scenarios might be true but you still can't bring yourself to forgive that person. Why? Think about how many times you ask God for forgiveness and He gave you the grace and mercy nicer than anyone deserves. Remember in Matthew 18 that unmerciful servant begged the master to canceled his debts and refused to cancel the debts other people owed him. In Scripture Peter asked Jesus about how many times should he forgive his brother??? 77 times!!! "Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times."
Hence, I just want to encourage every single one of us to really think about if you have any unresolved issues, misunderstandings between you and your friends, family or enemies just go ask God for strength and courage to forgive that person. After all, He brings reconciliation and resurrection to your life. As children of God, we have the blood of Christ and we are His representative on earth. Aren't we suppose to be like Him?

2012/01/06 If You Wanna Win Big, You've Gotta Play Big!!!

Often times we are just focusing on the people around us being saved and asking God to change them, I just feel like God wants us to do more cuz by the power and the authority we've inherited from above we could do greater things than we could never imagined. Asides from praying for ourselves, our family, friends, colleagues and classmates, how about praying for those strangers you've run into on the street, subway, bus or on the plane and proclaiming salvation and freedom to those people. Not that you have to step out and speak in tongues in their face but you could still ask God for more guidance to pray for them. In addition, I would like to challenge you to ask God a nation for you to disciple that specific nation, to bring His kingdom to that nation. "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7" Let's ask Him boldly, ask Him with your grounded faith, ask Him like you mean it!!  Come on, think about it "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible Matthew 19:26." As children of God, everything we've hoped for is possible. It's not impossible anymore but Himpossible!!

2012/1/5 Unconditional Love

What exactly is the truth definition of love? You might very well respond”Oh! I love my boyfriend, I will cheer him up whenever he feels upset, cook him dinner and offer my shoulder for him to cry on!” But what if “Love” is something way bigger than you can never imagine? Are you willing to die for him? Lay down your life for your family, your friends or someone you don’t know or even someone you once hated? Would you say you understand and be willing to love? I wasn’t a believer before last February, and  I was brought up by being educated that “There’s no such thing as free lunch!” Therefore, I was having hard time to understand how can one person, one God is willing to die for every single one of us, I thought that was just exaggerating. As I continue to walk on the journey with the Lord, read through His words and see how many things that He has done for His creation then I gradually believe true love does exist in this world. Have you ever done something for someone you love or someone you don’t even know and makes you feel being filled up with joy after you did that? Even giving up your seats to the seniors on the subway could make you feel extremely happy about that! Where does the joy coming from? The joy coming from doing something out of love!! As children of God, we have authority and the fruits of God coming from Heaven, the Scriptures says “ But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.—Galatians 5:22-25”  Our job is to be a true blessing and the imitator of the Lord, do everything out of love! Love is selfless, love is sacrifice, love is eternal til the end of age, love never perish! Why would God made you fashion designer, teacher, artist, singer, student so that you could be the most blessed human beings on earth and you could blessed yourself? No!!!!!! God gave you those resources and creativity to love those who needs Him. So I would like to urge you to truly and deeply love not just those people around you but also those who you don’t know or once hated. Even a simple smile on the face out of love could soften the hardest heart. Remember, it's not about you anymore, it's about Him!

2012/01/04 Pray for Taiwan

I am so sick of enemy trying to manipulate my country and screw up the unity of Taiwanese people! Today I want to urge every single one of us to pray and proclaim unity in Jesus name. You guys probably notice as the election draws near, Taiwanese people are separated to two sides and people are so hostile against each other. For example, my parents are what they call neutral voters which means they are not happy with both sides and always complaining about how lousy President Ma is and whining if Miss Tsai is elected Taiwan will be heading toward failure. Ok, here's the thing, I am not in to political hostility and I feel like praying for the current leader and future leader of Taiwan to be imparted by the wisdom and peace coming from above. The situation now we're encountered kind of remind me while people in Israel were complaining about Moses and Aaron. In stead of fighting against each other, why wouldn't us just trust in the Lord to choose the most ideal leader to lead this country to His glory!

2012/01/03 Challenge? Bring it over!

There are times, people just enjoy challenging us in terms of our faith in the Lord. Have you ever thought about why? They will be like ”oh! You Christians are just buck-passing and irresponsible group of people! You don’t know what is reality! You are so naive!” Is that all there is? Why would people say something like this? Because the way we react just don’t seem the way “normal” people we react. In stead of blaming or hating people, we choose to forgiving them, in stead of whining and being cynical to this world, we choose to see the goodness of the Lord. As a matter of fact, God knows every challenge we’ve encountered, and I believe He made it that way! Why? Because He wants us to actually apply what we have learned from Him to our daily life. Sometimes my friends are like” You talked about God all the time! You are over religious!” But I will always tells them, that’s a thing about meI am crazy about Jesus that’s why I talked about Him as my boyfriend! Religious? Religious is some thing you did out of obligation not out of love. That’s see, my mom worshiped idols like twice a day and during different occasions she prepared 3 kinds of fruits and chicken. Who made all those rules? Men did!! Why would you follow some rules made by men and served something out of fear? I choose to believe Jesus because I believe He saved me, He set me free from fear, anger and burden. When I’ve been through the worst time of my life He stretched out His hands to hold me fast. Some people might say “oh! Come on! How can you believe something you can’t see?” Obviously, I never hold His hands like physically but the encounter of the Lord being touched by the Spirit it’s so enormous that intense that you can’t never imagine. It’s the grounded Faith that us stand firm in Him. God didn’t just send us to earth to be sociable to Christians, He sent us because He needs us to bring Heaven down to earth, while the Pharisees saw Jesus was chilling with those non-believers, they were like being judgmental toward Jesus but what did He responded? “On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick . Mark 2:17” It’s out purpose to being around with the nonbeliever by the great love we’ve showed to them, they will be touched by the Holy Spirit. Being a believer it’s not selling  insurance or impulse purchase and instead of inviting them to church why don’t we just be the church to those who need us? Mobilize the Bible in stead of debating with them. Remember, we may be the only Jesus people ever known. Some people might have a stereotype of Christians of being non-tolerate about other religion so they would have told you “ See? George Bush was leading a whole army to destroy the Muslim.” But you may very well tell your friend, whatever Gorge did that’s his choice, am I doing the exact same thing as he did? No! So stop comparing us as those who made wrong decisions. Speak “truth” with all your love and gentleness, you will see how they being blown away by the goodness of the Lord through you.

2012/01/02 Faith or No Faith?

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrew 11:1 Sometimes it’s easy for us to be effected by the standard of this world, and give away all of the power we have then throw in the towel while people says something bad about our dreams. A single word, a certain look could kill the things that you once believed. But then again, non of these would have happened if you don’t let them. Let me ask you something, what did you want to be when you’re a kid? Be an astronaut, a rapper, an actor or actress, a pilot, an artist or a princess who lives happily ever after. However, as you grow older, the society tells you to get real and stop living the fantasy. They also tells you happily ever after only exists in the fairy tell and then you start to buying it. Guess what? Happily ever after does exist if you have faith in it. You could be whatever you want as long as you have faith. God created you for a reason, He created you for a purpose, He placed a gift inside your heart while He created you. Every gifts takes practice, if you fully trust in the Lord and do whatever He called you to do without doubts, I guarantee you, your life will not be in vain. Does it takes chances to trust something you don’t see? Oh, yea! Most certainly! But does it worth it? Oh, yea! Most Certainly! I am not asking you to quit your job just as a snap decision as I did but what I am trying to say is really thinking about what you are doing now. Do you feel honoring? Do you think that’s the job or a major you’re so in love with it? Are you just being settle down to the place in which is a comfy zone and think of it as a job that pays the bill? Do you trust in God and firmly believe that this job is what God has been blessed you with all His resources so that you can bring breakthrough to your workplace or you just sit there and be stagnant?! Think about it and do something about it!!!

2012/01/01Work It Babe!!!

How do you know what is your destiny? If you do know your purpose and your mission, are you willing to give up everything you have just to pursue the passion God has put inside your heart? Sometime the earthly treasure stop us from receiving the real treasure God wants to give us. Just as my spiritual dad always says, as Asians, we are often settle down by a major we don’t even like, a job we hate and we keep whining about how miserable we are instead of trying to do something about it, we just keep complaining, choosing to live a horrible lifestyle, tying up ourselves to the things that we don’t want to be tied up. The Scriptures says this, “you can not serve two masters.” If you choose to follow Jesus and give your life to Him why all the bondage still stop you from doing something what your heart and soul has been desire? When God says”Go!” He meant “Go!” He doesn’t want you be afflicted from the things of this world. Have you ever whining to yourself “God, I don’t have money to do the things that you want me to do! What about my job? What about my life?  I am not a pastor, I am not a missioner, I am not strong enough and I don’t wanna be devour by the lions in the jungle!” If you are afraid of taking risks then you will probably wind up with regrets when your life is hitting a final curtain call! It’s never to late to mobilize your calling, as long as you have a heart to say I do and really trust in God of what He has doing in your life. Faith is trusting something that you don’t see and yet you still believe in it. It does take risks, but come on, “No Risks, No rewarded!” As a child of God, we are born to live on the edge. Will you rather be a Christian that goes to church on weekly basis, have a lukewarm heart, just think of it as a religious service and keep receiving people’s blessing and being spiritually fattening or you will really wanna show your true color as a child of God and live from inside our of His glory. Why would the Scriptures says “All things work together for work good?” Some people might think, ok being a Christian means whenever we encounter troubles or obstacles of our life we’re just going to church and asking for prayers, that’s it! If you’re holding the thought like this, you are fool!  “All things work together for your good !” WORK means not just taking in people’s blessing or the words from the Bible but actually put into practice. So, right now, stop keeping reminiscing your time or energy to analyze your calling, just WORK IT BABE!!!!
